Support Our Police, Fire, and Public Employees

I fully support our police officers, firefighters, service department, recreation department, and other public employees who work day in and day out tirelessly to serve our community.

From public safety to public events and the ongoing maintenance of our city, not to mention the administration and programs for seniors, the people who work for our city are the ones who genuinely make Brook Park a great place to live.

As a city council member, I will prioritize ensuring that our first responders have access to the resources and equipment needed to perform their duties effectively. This includes everything from updated technology and training to adequate staffing and suitable working conditions. By providing our public employees with the necessary tools to do their jobs, we can make Brook Park a safer, better place to live, work, raise a family, and retire.

I also believe in investing in public employees’ well-being and professional development. We must ensure funding for opportunities for city employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, such as leadership training and continuing education programs, to help them stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in their field. I will also advocate for fair wages, benefits, and retirement plans to attract and retain the best talent in our public workforce.

Finally, I believe in the importance of recognizing and honoring our public employees’ hard work and dedication. I will ensure they receive the respect they deserve for their contributions to our community. They put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe, and we owe it to them to provide them with the support and resources they need to do their job to the best of their ability.
